Inspired by her grandmother's and mother's longstanding dedication to charitable causes in India, Renuka's path intersected with CBF through a former volunteer. Stepping in when her friend couldn't commit, Renuka embarked on a remarkable five-year journey of service to breast cancer Survivors and Thrivers.

Initially engaging with CBF through in-person talks on Breast Tissue Lymphatics, Renuka's volunteerism adapted to the challenges posed by the pandemic. Upon the suggestion of the then Program Director, she transitioned seamlessly to online presentations, offering valuable insights and facilitating interactive Q&A sessions. Raising funds creatively, Renuka demonstrated her commitment by rallying her friends to contribute on her birthday, resulting in a generous donation of $250 to CBF.
