A Message from Lisa about some upcoming special programming & events for and about our Survivors & Thrivers

Dear Survivors and Thrivers,

As we journey through the seasons of life together, we are reminded that you are the heartbeat of Carolina Breast Friends.  Your stories of strength, courage, and resilience fuel our mission and inspire our steps forward.  We are excited to share some meaningful programming updates with you and extend a heartfelt invitation to two special events this fall – each created with you in mind.

Two Signature Events

Pink Boots Ball: A Night to Shine

We are thrilled to share that this beautiful celebration will be convened on September 25, 2025, just for Survivors and Thrivers. This magical evening is a heartfelt tribute to you and your guest – your plus one, your caregiver, your cheerleader.  The Pink Boots Ball is a chance to step into a night of JOY, connection, and celebration with no expectations – just pure love and community.

There will be dancing, laughter, and beauty – all centered around honoring your courage, resiliency, and strength.  This night is not tied to fundraising. It is not about donations. It’s about YOU! We wanted to create a space where you feel the power of your journey and the love of your community without any distractions.

Roaring in Pink: A Night to Fund the Mission

In tandem, we are continuing our newly created fundraising event, Roaring in Pink, on October 24, 2025. This elegant evening welcomes ALL supporters and is essential to raising the funds that make all our free programs and services possible. From a runway show featuring couture dresses by Luis Machicao, to exciting silent and live auction items and meaningful mission moments, Roaring in Pink will be an unforgettable night that fuels our future.

Why Two Events?

We know that as Survivors and Thrivers, you deserve a space that isn’t defined by the need to give or raise funds.  The Pink Boots Ball honors the past to the present, with the desire to create something uniquely for you.

While Roaring in Pink is open to all and will always be a celebration of our community’s generosity, The Pink Boots Ball is a love letter to our Survivors and Thrivers – where we ask for nothing but your presence, your joy, and your sparkle. We invite you to attend both if you wish. One honors your strength, the other helps sustain our mission. Together, they complete the heart of who we are.

New Programming

The Pink House continues to blossom with renewed energy and vibrant support. Thanks to your feedback and engagement, and new major donor funding, CBF will launch several new signature programs. We are expanding our programming to offer more opportunities for healing, connection, and empowerment – whether it’s through therapeutic massage, mindful movement, expressive art, or educational workshops – all free of charge.

Cancer and Beyond, Generously Funded by B&C

The program is designed to specifically support Survivors and Thrivers as they navigate life after active treatment.  This program will focus on the emotional, physical, and practical challenges that can arise once treatment ends – from managing long-term side effects to rediscovering purpose, confidence, and wellness.  Through hybrid group sessions, facilitated by expert-led discussions and one-on-one personalized plans with an integrative oncologist, the Cancer and Beyond - funded by B&C will provide a powerful space to heal, grow, and thrive in the next chapter of your journey. Our inaugural launch will welcome 25 participants, selected by application, with plans to expand the program and add additional participants incrementally throughout the year.

La Casa Rosada: Latina Survivors and Thrivers

We are thrilled to introduce the La Casa Rosada Day Retreat, a dedicated day created to support and uplift our Latina breast cancer community. This culturally centered experience will offer wellness activities, community building, and resources tailored to the unique needs of our Spanish-speaking Survivors and Thrives. With bilingual facilitators, culturally relevant programming, and a focus on holistic healing, La Casa Rosado Retreat will be a welcoming space where participants can connect, recharge, and feel seen.  Together, we are building stronger bridges to care and community – porque en esta casa, nadie camina solo.

Metastatic: The Resilience Circle

We are deepening our commitment to those living with metastatic breast cancer by launching new initiatives designed to meet ongoing and evolving needs. This year, we are hosting a Metastatic Day Retreat, a supportive and empowering experience focused on connection, care, and honoring your journey. The retreat will include wellness offerings, open dialogue, and customized resources that recognize the complexities of living with advanced disease.  Alongside this retreat, we are expanding our year-round support services specifically for our metastatic community, reinforcing that you are not alone and that you are always a vital part of the CBF family.

As always, everything we offer is designed to support you no matter where you are on the journey with breast cancer.

With admiration and gratitude,

Lisa Dale
