In a show of solidarity for one of their member's wives who is fighting breast cancer, the Pineville Fire Department (PFD) created T-shirts last fall to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

According to the Pineville firefighters, "It is our goal to not only serve our community during emergency incidents, but to support our community. We wanted to send the donation to a local organization to make sure it benefits those close to home."
The proceeds from the T-shirt sales were matched by the department and a donation for $1,500 was made to CBF in honor of their partner's wife.
"Through various public events, many of our members have had positive experiences with Carolina Breast Friends, which made CBF the easy choice to send our proceeds."
We are grateful to these local heroes for their service to our community, and are moved by their generosity to the breast cancer community.
