"Giving back to CBF means that their loving work can continue to help women just like me."

The greatest testament to our mission is when Survivors & Thrivers return their thanks by giving back. This is exactly the case for Darlene, who was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in-situ in December of 2021 and underwent a bi-lateral mastectomy. Her surgeon's nurse suggested she call The Pink House.

"What I needed most was just to know someone understood how I was feeling inside," says Darlene. "It felt like a big warm hug the moment I walked through the door of The Pink House. All the other help CBF provided was just icing on the cake."

Darlene wants others to feel this same embrace. Recently, she gave a significant financial gift which allows us to continue to serve the breast cancer community, as darlene2well as some items that she found helpful during her treatments.

"This will help another woman like me who may be robotically going through the motions and have no idea what she needs or what to do," Darlene says.
