We are excited to welcome Dr. Parvin Nejad-Fatemeh to the next session of The Real Talk Series!


At Carolina Breast Friends, we believe knowledge can empower us to better understand our health and advocate for ourselves and those we love.


During this thoughtful and educational session, Dr. Parvin-Nejad will discuss women’s expected risk for breast cancer, as well as important risks and considerations specific to women of minority backgrounds. Topics will include breast cancer diagnosed at an earlier age and differences in the prevalence of more aggressive forms of breast cancer.


About the Instructor:


Dr. Parvin-Nejad was born and raised in the Midwest and completed her medical training in New York and New Jersey. She attended Mount Sinai Medical School, completed her general surgery residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and went on to complete a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
