Reconnecting With Your Reflection

This intentional evening is designed to support Young Survivors as they navigate body image, identity, and self-perception after breast cancer. In partnership with CPCC Cosmetology students, the evening is framed around enhancement rather than fixing — celebrating each person exactly as they are.

We are honored to welcome Stephanie McDonough, PhD, Licensed Psychologist, who will guide a thoughtful conversation about body positivity and the psychological changes that can occur after a breast cancer diagnosis. Her discussion will explore the emotional shifts that can come with treatment and survivorship, offering insight, validation, and tools for rebuilding a compassionate relationship with your body.

Beyond the surface, the evening creates space for honest conversation, reflection, and reconnection through guided discussion, mirror affirmations, and a personal gratitude exercise honoring the body for what it has carried and endured.
