Acerca del evento

Are you newly diagnosed and no one around you can relate to your feelings? Drop in The Pink House to meet some of our Survivor Mentors and connect with others who have been down a similar path on their breast cancer journey. Sometimes we also have flowers donated by Trader Joe's for Survivors to make arrangements to take home!

Carolina Breast Friends  One-on-One Mentoring Program matches Survivors at any point in their breast cancer experience with other Survivors who may have a similar diagnosis and treatment history but who are further down the road in navigating the journey. Our vetted, peer mentors can help you through various elements of your breast cancer experience--from dealing with the news of your diagnosis, to what to expect from treatment, to adjusting to the ongoing ways that having breast cancer can change your life. Sometimes mentoring consists of just a single phone call at a vulnerable time. Sometimes it is an ongoing safety net of insight. But always, it's about the power of one Survivor talking to another who has been where they are going. This casual coffee or tea time is your chance to get to know some of our mentors--whom we can match you with for one-on-one support--while relaxing in the welcoming atmosphere of The Pink House.

NOTE: This session will be delivered in person at The Pink House. Parking is available behind The Pink House.

Facilitator:

Mentor Melissa Rivers
