We've Gone Virtual & Video to Keep Serving People with Breast Cancer
April 2020
Breast cancer didn't stop because there's a pandemic, so neither did we. Despite the doors of the Pink House temporarily being closed, we have mobilized with ways to deliver all of our core services!
Take a quick listen to the video message from our Executive Director, Lynn Erdman, to hear personally from her how we're continuing to help women and men with breast cancer.
- Our 1:1 Mentoring Program is going strong. We are matching newly diagnosed survivors with those further along in their journey, and our mentors are providing that vital mentoring support via phone.
- We have begun holding our programs virtually! In the last 7 days we've led 5 virtual sessions, covering Wellbeing, Nutrition, Support, and Education. Click here to see what's coming up.
- We are shipping comfort bags--which help ease the rigors of treatment--to anyone who calls or emails with a request. Please contact us at 704-370-7773 if you or someone you know could benefit from a comfort bag.
- We launched a YouTube Channel and are creating and posting video sessions every week--including a "Strength Training at Home" series with Cancer Exercise Specialist Laura Coleman. See for yourself and share with the Survivors you know!
We will keep you posted here about when and how we will responsibly begin to reopen the Pink House for in-person services. Stay safe and be well.
