More than 25 Survivors turned out for this year's Ugly Sweater Holiday Party on December 12, filling the Pink House with laughter, holiday spirit and questionable fashion sense!
The hustle and bustle began earlier in the day when a team of volunteers from LPL Financial used the Pink House kitchen to make holiday goodies for the night's festivities. Shares Krista Barry, CBF's Director of Programming and Volunteer Management, "I have wanted to utilize our kitchen more for programs, so when Anna Orsenigo from LPL called me about volunteering, we quickly came up with the idea of making yummy treats for the party."
Meanwhile volunteers put the finishing touches on the Pink House Christmas Tree donated by Gail Maynard from Colony Furniture & Interiors with ornaments donated by CBF Board member and past president Pam P. Phipps.
The party itself featured an ugly sweater contest and a zany white elephant gift exchange--both of which were hilarious, with Survivors strutting their stuff in a makeshift fashion show and then vying for their favorite gift in the white elephant gift exchange game. Congrats to Jackie Stair for winning a close race for ugliest sweater!
In a season dedicated to giving, it is always a special a gift to have so many Survivors gathered to share holiday cheer with each other.
