The breast cancer experience is a very personal journey, but that does not have to mean that it's a solitary one. At Carolina Breast Friends, we know the value of talking to and learning from those who have been down that road themselves. When our Survivorship Committee recently gathered, we asked them to reflect on and share three things that were particularly helpful on their journey. Here is what some of them had to say.
We thank all of the Survivors who shared the things that helped--and continue to help--keep them going. We are glad not only to offer programs and services that foster many of these elements but also to facilitate sharing and mentoring within the breast cancer community.
