Session Description: Please join us as Dr Arielle Heeke discusses how to effectively manage menopausal symptoms. Chemotherapy can push young breast cancer Survivors into an early menopause which can cause some uncomfortable symptoms. Learn effective ways to combat these symptoms and improve your quality of life. This virtual session is for breast cancer Survivors of all ages who are dealing with menopausal symptoms.
About the Instructor:
Arielle L. Heeke, MD, is a Breast Medical Oncologist at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Emory University School of Medicine and her fellowship at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University School of Medicine. She is Board Certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Heeke has spoken at international scientific and educational events, including ASCO and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Her research interests focus on biomarker-driven evaluation and tailored treatment. Dr. Heeke has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and abstracts, including Frontiers in Oncology and the Journal of Clinical Oncology Precision Oncology.
