Let's Talk Hair! With Annie Cooney, Owner of The Pink Hair Studio &
Breast Cancer Survivor

Session Description: 

Survivor to Survivor, bring your hair questions and concerns and Annie will talk them through with you. She can provide advice on pre chemo hair plan and hair regrowth after treatment.
Carolina Breast Friends provides a wide variety of wigs and scarfs free of charge to all Survivors.

Instructor Bio:

"During treatment, I discovered this quote, and it now hangs in my salon suite, 'And when you get to where you're going, turn around and help her too. For there was a time, not long ago, when she was you.'" 
As a breast cancer Survivor and a hairstylist, Annie felt inspired to merge both aspects of her life and create The Pink Hair Studio. Beyond doing beautiful color and haircuts, she believes her purpose is to comfortably and confidently help women with cancer through the hair loss and regrowth process. 
For every haircut service, Annie donates $5 to Carolina Breast Friends. Since making this commitment to CBF earlier this year, she has already donated over $600. 
"It fills my heart to connect with so many inspiring women and give back to an organization close to my heart," says Annie. 
Annie found CBF after relocating to Charlotte last June upon finishing her treatments. Nervous about finding a new medical team and support system, Annie happened upon CBF through a Google search. She says, "When I read and saw what CBF does for women with breast cancer, I knew I wanted to jump in and help give back." 

At 37-years-old, breast cancer was a journey Annie never imagined she'd be on. Having lived it, she felt very strongly about helping others. 
"Carolina Breast Friends has given me the opportunity to do so," she says.
