Early Post-Operative Physical Therapy

Session Description:

Physical therapy following surgery is very important in regaining strength, range of motion, and returning to your daily activities without limitations. In this session we will discuss early post-operative exercises and benefits of physical therapy in general to improve your quality of life. As always, please do not perform any exercise without approval from your physician or surgeon.

NOTE: This session will be delivered online using Zoom. You can participate using your computer, smartphone, or tablet.  There is no cost involved or software to load. All you need is the meeting link and password, which we will provide via email confirmation when you register (using the button at the top of this session description).  We suggest using the meeting link a few minutes prior to the start time of the session. If you don't receive a confirmation email from us within an hour of registering, please check your SPAM folder or email cbf@carolinabreastfriends.org

Facilitator Bio: 

Shelby Jouppi is a physical therapist originally from Charlotte. She has a passion for helping people return to their full potential following surgery or any other injury. Breast cancer hits very close to home for Shelby. With three family members who are survivors of Breast Cancer, she understands the importance of early movement and having support through all stages of healing.
