Please join us for a special educational session in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month as Peter Turk MD discusses the history of breast cancer and its treatment. Dr Turk is a member of the Advisory Council for Carolina Breast Friends and specializes in the care of breast cancer patients. This promises to be a very informative session for all whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
Peter Turk, MD is a general surgeon in Charlotte with a sub-specialty in surgical oncology, and is currently licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina, Tennessee and Rhode Island. He is the Medical Director of Surgical Oncology with Novant Health Charlotte and also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at UNC-Chapel Hill. He attended medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his Residency at University of Tennessee Medical Center, followed by two more years at Brown University, specializing in surgical oncology. He is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons.
