Established in November 2003 by Kristy Adams-Ebel, Carolina Breast Friends (aka the Pink House) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to uniting and helping women and men with breast cancer at any point in their survival journey. The organization centers around creating an educational and social outlet for women and men with breast cancer to unite in courage and care.
Diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32, Kristy recognized that part of her ability to cope with the struggle she faced depended on communing with fellow survivors. She understood the importance of being in a positive setting where the focus is on healing, self exploration, and empowerment through knowledge. Until her death in 2006, Kristy's determination, selflessness, and humor remained as strong as ever. She was, and is, an inspiration to everyone at Carolina Breast Friends.
