Sisters united on a journey of hope and courage.
About Carolina Breast Friends

Inspiration Jars

Jars are filled with inspirational quotes submitted by our members. Each quote includes the member’s name, date of diagnosis, and email address. Recipients of the jars are encouraged to email members if they wish to discuss their breast cancer journey. Recipients are also encouraged to pass the jar along to other women they meet with breast cancer. The jars are given out to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients through the Breast Health Navigators at Presbyterian Hospital and Carolinas Medical Center. Send an email to cbf@carolinabreastfriends.org for more information or to volunteer your time.

Comfort Bags

Tote-bags filled with items useful to most breast cancer patients. The bags help newly diagnosed breast cancer patients better cope with chemotherapy. We deliver these to local Oncology practices and through Breast Health Navigators. We're always looking for donations of supplies for our Comfort Bags. For more information, list of items needed for bags, or to volunteer your time, send an email to cbf@carolinabreastfriends.org.

Mentoring

We work to match each of our new members with a veteran CBF member who is similar in age, diagnosis, and/or treatment. Mentor’s serve as a contact person who can help find answers and resources or just offer someone to talk to.

Angel Award

The Angel Award is presented twice a year to a CBF member who exemplifies our mission or goes above and beyond to demonstrate extraordinary acts of kindness, strength, courage or compassion.
Nominations may be submitted by sending an email to Pam Phipps with the following information:

  • Name of sister being nominated
  • Your name
  • Why you think this individual is an Angel among us
